more than thankful...

i guess my sydneyversary won't be complete without thanking some good people behind the scenes...

starting with

the P&C team who processed all that i need to come to sydney - i really do appreciate your help! thanks heaps!!! guess i was just lucky enough to have applied at the right time, otherwise, i would have to go through the drama of getting a clearance from sgv...

then a long list of rcip pals...

Eaton team - Sam (for entertaining some silly questions of an innocent starter), Karen (for turning out to be more than someone i just work with), Joan (for being so easy to get a long with and for being so smart), Maisy (for being more than helpful), Emma (for being such a smart trainee) and Christine (for being more than helpful too)... it was great working with you guys! Hope to work with you again soon!

SGM and FS teams - thank you for the experience... wasn't easy to live up to the challenge, glad i did it... though prefer not to do insurance jobs again... fingers crossed!

Esselte team - Michelle (for bringing out the sgvean ghie in me, ew!), Liz (for being such a smart trainee), Aileen (for being so helpful) and again Karen (for being such a nice oz to work with)...

Van Leeuwen team - Brian (for boosting my confidence), Maribel (for influencing me/us to be crazy =), Ricki (for all the help), Liz (for not failing to be smart) and Sophia (for being a very dedicated vacci)... you guys started the "loca loca" team...

Kinko's team - Surita (for making me realise things), Christine and Kieran (for the help you extended)... hope to work with you in an engagement not like this (if you know what i mean)...

Rebel team - Daniel (for making me realise things too, would have been good if we had a chat before you've left), Alex (for all the help and guidance), Michelle (for such a nice senior to work with), Maisy (for always being positive), Liz (for again, not failing to be smart), Christine (for the great work - so impressed this time!), and of course Stefan (for being so supportive - i perfectly understand where we both are coming from)...

WHL treasury team - Yolaine and Marina... for all the support and help... would have been different without you both...

Baryon team - Colleen, Maribel, Liz and Fiona - o my god, guess this is is the authentic loca-loca team... really looking forward to next year's audit with you guys... my favorito!

GAMx team - Max for bearing with my silly questions, Graham for helping me out get on board, Steve for being a great co-facilitator, Loreto for being my buddy (girl, you know what that means) and Ralph for being the Legend (you too know what that means) --- more than happy to work with you guys... cheers to gamx, my fish! =)

Peeps i haven't worked with in a job but definitely have had a chat or two - GL (for calling me ghie), Karen and Soroo (for being my chat buddies), Suchada (for confirming my impression that Thai's are amiable), Constance (so jolly you! ), Nicolas (for listening to my silly thoughts, lol), Bobby (for being nice), Clare (for being nice too), Patricia (for being friendly too), Claudia (guess the friendliest in rcip), Czech pals (Ales for the gamx problems you shared with me - feels great to resolve them actually and to Lucie for being such a nice seatmate... and to you both for confusing me when you start speaking strange)... for all the others i haven't named... cheers!

Special thanks goes to:

Colleen - for being so supportive and for always believing...

Maribel - for being more than a senior manager...more than a counsellor... more than a friend... for making my stay in EY sydney feels like home..

Mike - for appreciating little efforts...

Yvonne - for opening RCIP's doors (i.e. for being such a nice interviewer) and for being my very supportive first senior manager

Yolaine - for the trust and the support you unselfishly provide, i can't ask for more...

(wuw, now this makes me feel like im doing a farewell speech, am i??? - what duh?!)

and of course...

to all sydney noypis - you guys are great!!! see you all on the 24th! special mention goes to mamu jazel (for being so calm), to ruby and lito (for the adventures), bevs (for great friday dinners), lance and k (bar pals), and renee/andrei (for the drinks!)...

and lastly,

to my fi-ve dock-a family (dith, ruby anna and rondz)... you guys are just so amazing! you definitely deserve more than a thank you...

ruby anna, i guess we're meant to be friends... we just know how to manage each other too well! i reckon sydney life would have been different without you... mwah!

rondzki, how can a day be perfect without your how are you?! hahaha... guess the angels won over the demons in moulding our friendship... i know, i know, im sometimes a bitch (haha esp when you are too childish), but thanks for bearing with my craziness...

dith, im probably not too expressive of how thankful i am for having you as a friend and often im so sungit (well, you are used to it anyway), you know that deep down in my heart, you definitely do hell have a spot!

to God be the glory...

1 year with EY Sydney...

1 year down under!!! amazing how time flies really so quickly, i can't believe i've been here in sydney for a year now... we arrived on the 5th of nov last year! a day after, we started at EY, wuw!!! nov 6 - 1 year in EY Sydney... feels so great! feels so oz!...

I don't want to be too dramatic but this day makes me think about my sydney flee...

My appreciation of the Opera House started it all. I can't remember where i first saw a picture of the opera house... all i can remember was, at that time, i told myself, im soon going to sydney, don't know when exactly, but i know, i will. Then i met this Oz sox instructor in one of the trainings in SGV - i was so inspired at how good he is (at least, that's my impression) that my nerves wanted to work with oz's... then i soon learned about their workstyle and work life balance - sounds amazing? maybe not too much at first for a ff staff like me (i repeat, at first)... but we'll see..

I perfectly remember, it was the month of July, which was the peak month of the audit of my favorite client (yes, PAL is my favorite client - don't care how the hell will that be interpreted cos not also too sure what the hell that means), when silly thoughts began rushing to my brain... On the same month, more than a couple of head hunters keep stalking me!!! (makes me popular, yack!!!)...

Then, one silly night, click!, yep, i did it, submitted my resume to EY Sydney!!! Next thing, i found myself talking to Dith telling her about this opportunity blah blah blah and her own story started...

The process began... which reminds me of wonderful/funny/silly stories. EY Sydney HR called me for an interview, oopps, i was actually in PAL (yes, mid morning and at the peak of the audit!!!), it was so funny, at first, i acted as if the reception was really bad and cut her off (so bad ghie!). So she called again, but i still havent found a good spot, what?! I ended up being interviewed in the waiting area close to the lift - 2 big bosses in PAL plus one of my boss even passed right infront of me, o my!!! Next interview was set so i called for a sick leave - what? its been half an hour and still the phone is perfectly at rest... fine, i dialled it and another blooper, so crazy ghie, its tomorrow, not today!!! crap crap crap!!!! Now, the actual interview... this is it... it went fine but admittedly, i asked for pardon so many times for the first few minutes... well, expect me to perfectly understand yvonne's perfect aussie accent??? - it was more than a challenge, really!!! understanding her is far harder than explaining IAS 21 and IAS 12 to her!!!! (oh, that was then, cos now, easy! haha)... Other bloopers include receiving a phone call while in the car of my boss in the petrol station, rejecting a call while in the middle of meetings... the list goes on...aarrggghhh!!!... I definitely have more... but enough of the shame...

Oh, this could also be a perfect time to thank those who were part of the conspiracy... to batman and wonderwoman who kindly and unselfishly unveiled a reference that sydney can't and won't resist (that's obviously an overstatement) - you know why am i here and i can't thank you enough... love you both... to catwoman, my promise is still a promise - i may not be very good at it at the moment but i'm keeping it... i'll make up... i'll try

The offer letter came, visa processed, flight booked... Sydney here i come!!!

And yes, i am enjoying my stay... of course, i have my own silly baffled moments... but i reckon, the bottomline is... i am happy, and thank god i am sydney...

Of course, behind all these... thanks to my family... love you all...

aussie mobility...

thank god, i'm in sydney...

* * *

one thing i really admire about ozs is their appreciation of mobility... genuinely share your happiness... no one will question whatever you want to do with your own life (besides, its your life)... only you can decide what can make you happy - it may not be the best thing in the eyes of other people but who in the hell cares... your heart knows better than anyone else, i guess... besides, who are you trying to please?... are they worth it? don't think so...

you are responsible only to one Being... that's the only thing that's important...

* * *

thanks to my buddy... it was a very short chat but a really very 'can't thank you enough' one... from the bottom of my heart, you are hell one i won't forget... ever...

* * *

not the best day for batman, but nevertheless, thank you too...

baffled...

"time has been cruel to me lately
playing tricks with me again..."

* * *

Its been almost a month now and i don't understand myself why in the first place am i entertaining baffling thoughts such as this silly i-d thats been fooling around in my head - its totally ridiculous but it has found a peaceful nook in my mind and its perfectly enjoying its stay! Looks like no plans of checking out soon...

Or, maybe, its really not that totally senseless afterall? Am i in denial that it is worth thinking of?!

Confusing? It definitely is! And, its so disturbing!

Someone talk to me please!!!! Getting crazy over this... aaarrrggghhh!!!!

Batman - where the hell are you????

* * *

what a bungling sunday!!! been here in the sofa literally all day... as in super tamad...

aaarrrggghhh!!!!

horoscope...

"If you've reached your boiling point with an annoying person, tell them so today..."

that's my horoscope for today - probably not totally true for today, but that's what it is and i'll keep that in mind...

i reckon its not very nice but it could help that person, and myself as well...

again, it may be worth keeping in mind...

wasting time...

so baffled why some people are so good at wasting time... i must admit, i'm one of them... sometimes... worst, lately, i would say... most of the time... i blame it to too much excitement of the thought that im flying in just a month from now...

* * *
phone alarms and i press on snooze... 5 minutes... snooze... 5 minutes... snooze... its been more than 30 minutes already... then why not just set the alarm 30 minutes later than snoozing every 5 minutes?!

* * *
got a list of things to do... as much as i can, i push the hardest one at the bottom of the list... then later end up cramming (oh well, its my talent anyway)... but wouldn't it have been more efficient to finish the hardest one first?

* * *
blogging... i can stay awake, like right now, up to 1 am typing some nonsense pool of words... let me stay this late at work - half of it is spent complaining... duh?!

* * *
lunch... luxuriously spend more than an hour for lunch, then what? end up staying late! what?!

* * *

oh well...

reasons to be happy...

so sad to think about how unlucky you can be at times... unfortunately, i've been really unlucky these past few days... but then again, why should i fret over things that make me frown... there are more reasons to be happy than not...

thanks to eric...

my day started with a makata greeting for rondz for his birthday...
then had a chat with my brother and it ended with him asking for a camera for christmas... wew!...

today is declared a shopping day... my flight is just 3 months away and its time to start filling up my box... went to birkenhead point...
ending: had a bag for myself and nothing for pasalubong!!!!... hay, para sa sarili ang nabili!!!

then off to rondz place for his birthday... we had pansit, crispy pata, roasted chicken, + strawberry cheesecake...
to save my "face"... i promised not to drink... poor me...

holy wednesday...

Last sunday, father richard announced that this wednesday (yesterday), the parish will be open for eucharistic adoration... i felt a mix of longing and excitement... i missed it so much...

The adoration chapel used to be my refuge... i feel so secure when im there... i know in my heart that no matter what mood i am in, He is there to listen to me... when im sad, He cheers me up; when im happy, the more delighted i become; when im lost, He makes me realise that i have a purpose in life and He helps me live it up... that may sound so selfish, just thinking of how good to be there is it for myself, but no... talking to him is my way of returning His love... being there to adore Him is above all... it feels so great to have a private conversation with Him. So when i learned about that news, im so excited to go back to my adoration days... to go back to track...

The eucharistic adoration is a way to return His love for us and to draw spiritual strength and nourishment and encouragement from that love... besides, how can we reject an invitation for the most peaceful hour of the week...

* * *
On a lighter note, comedian din talaga tong c Lord, mejo tinest pa nya talaga ko if bukal sa kalooban ko ang pagpunta sa adoration... how?... papunta: twice akong iniwanan/naiwanan ng bus!!!... first instance: driver says "sorry, two only"... wew, im third!... second instance: with effort ang pagtakbo to catch the bus, sorry, blind ang driver... pauwi: bus just left, so need to wait for 30 minutes... freezing winter!!! oh well...

And oh, i felt i was already in Rome during the benediction... un lang...

true enough, a very peaceful and very satisfying hour =)

september 1

one material thing i literally can't live without at the moment ---my laptop...

ewan ko ba, my day is so not complete without logging to the net... i used to be a tv addict back in the philippines, but since i got here in sydney, my addiction shifted from the tv to my laptop and the net...

when im at home, if im not asleep or cleaning or doing my laundry... for sure, im surfing the net... be it early morning or late at night to dawn... i can't afford to stare blankly at our ceiling... and hmmm, for the record, i can't remember when i last turned our tv on... dith is the official taga-on ng tv...

ewan, my laptop is such a part of me...

like now, while my friends are singing, a.k.a. videoke, i am blogging... hmmm let's just say its a talent to do multiple things at the same time (i.e. only proves i am a woman)... so while singing with them and chatting with them, my fingers are typing...

* * *

its september 1... official start of the "ber" months... and to kick off the christmas season... we celebrated christmas on ice ---- jaran... ice skating at the entertainment quarter in moore park... and for the record, hindi ako natumba, yehey, except nung sumama ako ke rondz and had fun in the center of the rink... super bilis and when we turned, boom, nyahahaha =) not once but twice... hahaha

* * *

another good thing... bought the first album of anthony plus another cd which is a compilation of inspirational songs... can't wait to listen to both...

* * *

and to end the day... ano pa and saan pa... head off to five dock!

corona + voda = woooooozzzyyy!@#$%?!^&*!

eroplano...

samantalang itong c palazo
d ko maramdaman kung cya'y apektado
ayaw kong isiping puso nya'y bato

movie marathon...

"any plans this weekend"?

more than 6 people asked me that question yesterday... well, not a surprise... its a "friday thing"... its like its carved in everyone's tongue and programmed to be a dialogue starter every friday...

and, as expected of an auditor... i have been very consistent with my response: we're doing a movie marathon...

true enough, we did...

just a bit of a background, i have been thinking about this since the other week... i wanted to see bourne identity and bourne supremacy again in time for bourne ultimatum... i've seen those movies before but i just want to see them again... then, an addition to the list will be the illusionist which david suggested we should watch...

when i woke up today, this was still the plan... about half an hour later though, i just found myself waiting for a bus to ashfield... what?! bit of a change... now, i wanted to do 5 filipino movies!!! so then i hurried to the masagana store and grabbed dvds...

movie started around 1 pm and just ended about half an hour ago....

1. Eternity - Dingdong and Iza... story about forbidden love...
2. Ang Cute ng Ina mo - Ai Ai, Luis and Anne ---- sobrang nakakatuwa!!!! 5 stars!!!
3. Paano kita iibigin - Piolo and Regine --- highlights volatility of emotion! girls, don't love guys too much... "they might not get there"...
4. Enteng Kabisote - Vic and Kristine --- also so funny, if you're a fan of OKFK, you'll love it!
5. Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo - Ryan and Juday --- those planning to get married, watch this!

it was definitely a very relaxing saturday...

a night for a cause

one of our colleagues in EY invited us to attend a night for a cause in the entertainment lounge in the west ashfield league last saturday night, 18 august ... i have no clue what the cause really is... but we said yes anyway!... found out in the venue that it was for Gawad Kalinga...

Gawad Kalinga (GK), translated in English means “to give care,” and it is an alternative solution to the blatant problem of poverty not just in the Philippines but the world. Its approach is integrated, holistic and sustainable – a concrete action plan to rebuild this nation by harnessing the best of the Filipino – faith and patriotism. (courtesy of GK website)

in short, the organisation builds renewed communities (including villages/houses) for less fortunate filipinos...

before i moved to australia, one of my friends in makati already introduced GK to me... we were so excited to literally help build houses, i.e. kahit tagabuhat lang ng hollow blocks or tagapintura, unfortunately, my schedule then (with my favorite client) barred me from attending the extraordinary cause ---- that was the end of my unstarted GK venture... until that saturday night...

various talents, filipinos and foreigners, from a soloist to bands to dance groups, unselfishly shared their talents to impress the audience in exchange with their $15 contribution... the night was able to generate a generous sum of $2,000, sufficient to build one house ($1,700) and sponsor a child's education ($300)...two thumbs up to those who organised the event... plus a round of applause to those who participated and attended of course...

the night relived my high school days when i was so active with extra curricular activities including charity works similar to GK... the night definitely moved me and made me realise how fortunate i am for having the life i am living... the night rekindled the benevolence i've always had in my heart - the desire to help and reach out...

the BIG question is: so what is the next step?...

it literally took a while for me to answer that question... it is a shame that i don't have a spontaneous specific action plan... but im sure i would have... soon... i thought of joining the team going to the philippines sometime in January but that definitely won't suit my schedule then... im sure there would be other events i could join... im thinking of pooling funds with my friends and try to raise fund to at least sponsor one child... i hope they would buy the idea... and im thinking that christmas would be my best excuse to influence them... i crossed my fingers... then started counting how many filipino friends do i have here down under...

* * *
its almost 11 pm when the program concluded... and since we are in the asfield club, it was a perfect chance to experience feeding those slot machines and try my luck with my $20... 5 minutes resulted to a net loss of $10... time to go...

***

next stop: pumphouse bar in darling harbour with ruby d, dith, of course master lance and his coz kenneth and the new recruits - ruby g and sharon... (rondz went on his own tonight)...

ending: went home at 4am...

consequence: woke up 2pm next day (sunday)...

***

good thing to end our sunday: father richard is back to celebrate the eucharist... he's not too well yet but he's back - which definitely is a good thing for me...

chuck and larry

thanks to chuck and larry... it definitely was a very good laugh to end a busy week...

***

movies on friday nights - its beginning to be an addiction again... i miss my movie buddy mau back in the philippines... and my movie and timezone buddy dallie... i'll definitely go out with them in December... aargh, can't wait!!!!... tagal...

italy

i want to go to italy... seriously, its one of the places i really wanted to go to... someday...
places i wanna go to and/or see...

1. Vatican - how blessed would it be to witness the Pope in person... (im suddenly reminded of Pope John Paul)

2. Venice - how romantic it is to sail in the flooded city

3. Tower of Pisa - learned from one site that the official name of the tower is Torre Pendente Di Pisa. The actual function of the tower is to be a bell tower. So jealous when my brother sent me his picture....

and of course... i won't miss a cup of italian cappucino...

too obsessed with italy...
i just realized that anthony and father richard are both italians...
i'm living in five dock... a very italian suburb...
i love lavazza...

cos im addicted to you...

2 weeks ago, i pronounced our ski trip as one of the best weekends so far since i got here in australia...

now, this is it...

today (august 5) is definitely the best sunday since i got here in australia...

just came from the concert of anthony and it was astonishing... that i would say, is even an understatement!!!!

a very magnificent voice, superb energy, such an extraordinary talent...

plus of course he is super guapo... a perfect package... matchless...

prior to the concert, i was hoping that he will sing rain, hurts so bad, addicted to you... and of course, the prayer (the fastest selling recording in Australian history as well as the highest selling Australian single going four times Platinum)...

he did all that... how good is that!!!! and of course he did songs from his new album...

like a typical fan, we lined up for his autograph....

im so happy... thanks anthony!

advance australia fair...

for a week now, this is the song that's been playing on my mind...

Australians all let us rejoice
For we are young and free
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea:
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare,
In history's page let every stage
Advance Australia fair,
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia fair.

yap, it is the national anthem of australia... i can't remember how it started, i just found myself googling it and saving a copy on my local.... next was searching it in youtube hoping that someone for whatever reason uploaded it... too lucky? found a clip sang by anthony in one of the rugby games vs new zealand...

oh well, i just realised, i should at least learn something australian before i have my vacation in pinas...

wala lang... trip lang... what can be more authentically australian than the national anthem...

knocked up...

its friday so we deserve a reward for our efforts during the week...

we decided to have dinner at pepper lunch... its a japanese resto in george street close to the cinema... i had beef pepper rice and i loved it...

after that, we went to the see knocked up... its a comedy movie starring seth rogen and katherine heigl... we heard it was good... besides, the movie was directed by judd apatow, who directed 40yr old virgin (which i find funny then)... so we went ahead...

"what if a slacker guy got you pregnant?..."

that's the gist of the movie...

... i had a good laugh to end my week... but i think it was too long for a very uncomplicated story... though overall, it was hilarious... no brainer, just fun...

***

on the side... sydney structures are not the soaring-high type of buildings... then i found out soon "pababa" ang pag build nila (whatever civil engineers or architects call it, accountant lang ako so d ko alam ang technical term hehe)... typical examples are the buildings along george street... hm, westfield malls... ah, EY office, the lobby is already level 9...

same for the cinema... which we just discovered last night coz cinema 5 was actually at the lower level... the past movies that we saw were all on the upper level... feeling ko tuloy nasa ilalim kami ng george street na pag gumuho... totally helpless... hahaha praning ka ghie...

walk out...

i know i shouldn't have... but i did... i raised my voice and i walked out...

it was a heated argument with my senior manager... i din't mean to disrespect her...

it just happened...

i usually don't complain, i am good at holding them to remain calm...

but when its time to burst out... it just explodes uncontrollably... its awful...

i'm so sad...

father richard...

i miss father richard... he is the associate pastor at all hallows church...

well, it started with... "guapo cya"... he was just a deacon then, obediently assisting father bob in celebrating the eucharist... im so impressed with his faith with the Lord and his dedication to his vow that radiates out of his words everytime he shares his homily... ewan ko, but he has a certain effect on me... merely listening to him intensifies my catholic faith... really... his passion to serve the Lord is more than obvious...

i wanted to attend his ordination but unfortunately, we missed it... fortunately, we were there when he celebrated his first mass as father richard... all seats were taken so we have to sit along the aisle (which i really dint mind)... now, its no longer just because guapo cya, on top of that, he has become an inspiration to me... i don't want to miss his mass every sunday...

the week after, he broke a not so good news to the community... his sickness is back... he is ill...can't remember exactly what it is... all i know is what is obvious... he is getting weak physically... he can't walk properly... he can't stand for long... and yes, i was and still am, so affected... it literally breaks my heart when i see him walk... he reminds me of my sister...

despite his illness... his love for the Lord and for the community did not stop him from celebrating the mass... even if it means limping to the alter... even if it means saying his homily seated which he feels so sorry about but which remained as inspiring as before... even if it means celebrating the consecration with the aid of a stool but which became more solemn making you feel that Christ is just beside you...

i admire the zeal he has in his heart... his illness did not stop him from serving the Lord and the community... i admire his faith... everytime i see him, i sympathize with him... i don't think he deserves this... i am not questioning the Lord, i don't have the right to... i just cant help but think about it...

though i feel sorry that he is ill, deep inside my heart... he is actually healing me for my pains with what my sister is going through now... ironically, i draw strength from father richard... to me, he just appears weak, just physically, i know that his faith remains so strong deep within him... seeing him every sunday makes me stronger for my sister... listening to him every sunday, makes me realise my faith will heal my sister... she will get better...

unfortunately, father richard has to rest... he has to stay home... obviously, this means he won't be celebrating the mass... when i learned about this... i felt really sad... i felt sad that i won't see him... i will miss his homily... i will miss his consecration... i will miss him... i will miss my source of strength...

we haven't met personally aside from the typical exchange of smiles at the end of the mass when he waits for everyone at the church door... he doesn't even know me... but i thank God for him...

last sunday, the Gospel that father bob preached really touched my heart and reminds me of father richard and my sister... with full effort, i tried to hold my tears...

"...And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened..."

"Lord, all i have is faith and so i pray... for father richard and my sister... THY WILL BE DONE.... Amen."

contrary to a very fantastic weekend, the week after was literally so exhausting...

this time, my counselling team is complete: myself, maribel, dith, joan, eunice and alice... invitees to the picnic were jesus, yolaine, ronald, ruby and karen...

maribel brought alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, yolaine: french bread and cheese, we: palabok, ronald: pancit, karen: durian candies, joan: salad, eunice: cake and alice: potato salad...

obviously... united nations kami... nice chat among everyone!

looking forward to the next...

the prayer...

dear lord,

let this be my prayer just like every child...

i love my sister so much...

my tears tonight mean my faith in your miracles...

let YOUR will be done...

lots of love,
ghie

* * *

I pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go.
And help us to be wise in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way

Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

La luce che tu dai The light that you give us
Nel cuore resterĂ  Will stay in our hearts
A ricordarci che Reminding us You are the everlasting star
Nella mia preghiera In my prayer
Quanta fede c There's so much faith

Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

Sogniamo un mondo senza piu violenza We dream of a world with no more violence
un mondo di giustizia e di speranza A world of justice and hope
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino Grasp your neighbor's hand
Simbolo di pace, di fraternita As a symbol of peace and brotherhood

La forza che ci da The strength that you give us
We ask that life be kind and watch us from above
and hope each soul will find
oh another soul to love

Let this be our prayer just like every child
E la fede che And the faith that
hai acceso in noi,You've lit inside us
Sento che ci salvera I feel will save us

it takes jo!

it takes two judgment day is over! jolene won so obviously jo dint!... jolene is definitely awesome and her performances are really fantastic... a round of applause for winning... fair enough... it would have been disappointing if she dint...

it takes two is a singing competition where celebrities are paired with professional singers to show off their singing prowess... initially, wasn't at all interested with this show... no choice, unfortunately, we only have one tv channel (poor!)... so, let's give it a chance...

first episode... here you go, anthony callea... "the" australian idol (i mean runner-up)... he is one of the professional singers... paired to jo stanley... won't forget this day... this day started my anthony days...

what comes after that?... found myself not missing to be home before 7 on tuesday nights... and found myself praying that jo will not crack a note... and found myself liking jo and anthony... they definitely are such a joy to watch... jo may not have the best vocals (of course anthony does hehe)... but she is very much herself in the show... no pretentions... she exudes happiness in what she does... and their choreography, more than fantastic... purely entertaining...

i definitely salute jo...i was hoping but not expecting her to win... as the judges have commented million times... she has her ups and downs during the show... the good thing is... she never gave up.... she embraced the comments on a positive way... for what she has become, she definitely is a winner!...

i will miss jo and anthony...

sofa rest

im literally in sofa rest for four days now...

though its an excuse to stay home and not think about work... i don't really find it to be a very good excuse... so annoying to have a stuffy nose, chills and goose bumps every few seconds, horrible headache, wobbly feeling, etc, etc... the list of nasty feelings goes on...

its already sunday and i obviously can't afford not to report to work still tomorrow... mix of reasons... one, super negative leave balance already... two, bakekang will definitely be so upset and be so worried about her account (o my god, im beginning to think about work, bumabalik na ata pagka FFF ko, but no!)... three... sakit na ng likod ko sa paghiga sa sofa... and four, i just don't like being sick... i really hate it...

lord please, pagalingin mo na ako...

mood mix...

i literally forgot my password... that obviously explains why i haven't had a nonsense pile of words for almost a month now... (sign na ba to ng pagtanda or am i having brain rust?!?!?!)...

anyway, what happened for that almost a month is a mixture of all sorts of moods...

happy mood: received my letter of progression... natural, i should be happy and i am... it was a gamble and i won... few more green bills monthly... thanks po lord!

taray mood: can't hold it... i tried to be calm as much as i can... let's put it this way... the incident calls for it... what will you do if your client is already raising her voice on you coz she isn't good enough to respond to audit queries and would burn her ass just to scare you off?.... get scared?! poor auditor stop asking questions? ghie says: no way...

deadma mood: what will you do if someone just keeps on bombarding your inbox with series of to do's (kulit kulit kulit)... ghie says: "deadma"... don't worry, i'll catch up with you at the right time... i know when the right time is... so even if you keep on bugging me, sorry but "deadma"... magalit ka man, ikaw ang maha-heart attack, not me... be reasonable "bansot"!

charitable mood: found myself shelling out more than one yellow bill to help sponsor a testimonial dinner for CPA topnotchers in Baguio... hmmm, let's just say its my way of sharing my blessings for being a CPA (oh well, d nga lang topnotcher...)

excited mood: already booked!!! can't wait to have a snow fight with my friends... yap, we're going to snowy mountain... 21st july!...

super excited mood: can't wait for aug 5!!!! hahaha super fan of anthony!!! (on the side, im so proud of the performance of anthony and jo on it takes two last night... i can't help but watch it again on youtube... am really so proud... its definitely the 2.5 minutes that jo won't dare forget for the rest of her life...) this may sound corny but its true... i listen to the song "the prayer" every night before i sleep... i already love the song even before i heard anthony's version but his version really made me love the song more.... its my source of strength in everything i do...

lazy mood: this was last saturday... stayed home (feeling ko tuloy me sakit ako)... and literally stayed still on our sofa up until 6pm... kung di pa dumating cna renee and andrei, malamang d pa ko tumayo... sobrang tamad...

sick mood: right now... actually since last night... feeling ko puputok na ulo ko... im literally holding it with two hands baka pumutok... sigh... i hope im well to go to work tom... i just checked my leave balance and its already negative hahahahaha..

can't wait mood: antagal ng sweldo... i already have my shopping list... i think i deserve a reward (see happy mood above)...
