friday, 30 nov... thanks to my friends who came to pick me up from the airport... for the record... figaro iced mocha was the first thing i bought in pinas... i obviously needed it while waiting for my friends... then we had a great filipino breakfast at the fort... the usual chitchat is there of course!.. this day also happens to be ella's flight to LA... perfect timing, at least we had the chance to have a quick chitchat before she left... not too sure when will we meet again.. m still hoping, fingers crossed, that i will be able to attend her wedding... i really pray... then off we go to glorietta to buy my dress for mamy's wedding tomorrow... did shop some other stuff... the best part is the hour spent in CANS... so pampering... missed it so much!!! then off to laguna to meet rob daniel (dionne's son)... he is 6 months old... and he is so big...

saturday, 1 dec... its mamy's wedding... was so stressed with what i'll do with my hair so i decided to trust the gay hairdresser in let's face it... i was so happy with the result, it was actually so amazing... he is so galing... mamy was so pretty and her gown was so simple yet so elegant... was so happy to hug her... of course d kami nagpahuli sa mga pictures with her at the church up to the reception... it was also a venue to have a chit chat with sgv friends... ms rose, pilar, ms jo, ms ai, joey, and others... then off to coffee bean for a cappucino... i missed this place sobra, but on another note, i miss flat white... (am i missing sydney this early?)

sunday, 2 dec... sundo day, yey!!! checked out at around 8, had breakfast then off to mall of asia...

more than thankful...

i guess my sydneyversary won't be complete without thanking some good people behind the scenes...

starting with

the P&C team who processed all that i need to come to sydney - i really do appreciate your help! thanks heaps!!! guess i was just lucky enough to have applied at the right time, otherwise, i would have to go through the drama of getting a clearance from sgv...

then a long list of rcip pals...

Eaton team - Sam (for entertaining some silly questions of an innocent starter), Karen (for turning out to be more than someone i just work with), Joan (for being so easy to get a long with and for being so smart), Maisy (for being more than helpful), Emma (for being such a smart trainee) and Christine (for being more than helpful too)... it was great working with you guys! Hope to work with you again soon!

SGM and FS teams - thank you for the experience... wasn't easy to live up to the challenge, glad i did it... though prefer not to do insurance jobs again... fingers crossed!

Esselte team - Michelle (for bringing out the sgvean ghie in me, ew!), Liz (for being such a smart trainee), Aileen (for being so helpful) and again Karen (for being such a nice oz to work with)...

Van Leeuwen team - Brian (for boosting my confidence), Maribel (for influencing me/us to be crazy =), Ricki (for all the help), Liz (for not failing to be smart) and Sophia (for being a very dedicated vacci)... you guys started the "loca loca" team...

Kinko's team - Surita (for making me realise things), Christine and Kieran (for the help you extended)... hope to work with you in an engagement not like this (if you know what i mean)...

Rebel team - Daniel (for making me realise things too, would have been good if we had a chat before you've left), Alex (for all the help and guidance), Michelle (for such a nice senior to work with), Maisy (for always being positive), Liz (for again, not failing to be smart), Christine (for the great work - so impressed this time!), and of course Stefan (for being so supportive - i perfectly understand where we both are coming from)...

WHL treasury team - Yolaine and Marina... for all the support and help... would have been different without you both...

Baryon team - Colleen, Maribel, Liz and Fiona - o my god, guess this is is the authentic loca-loca team... really looking forward to next year's audit with you guys... my favorito!

GAMx team - Max for bearing with my silly questions, Graham for helping me out get on board, Steve for being a great co-facilitator, Loreto for being my buddy (girl, you know what that means) and Ralph for being the Legend (you too know what that means) --- more than happy to work with you guys... cheers to gamx, my fish! =)

Peeps i haven't worked with in a job but definitely have had a chat or two - GL (for calling me ghie), Karen and Soroo (for being my chat buddies), Suchada (for confirming my impression that Thai's are amiable), Constance (so jolly you! ), Nicolas (for listening to my silly thoughts, lol), Bobby (for being nice), Clare (for being nice too), Patricia (for being friendly too), Claudia (guess the friendliest in rcip), Czech pals (Ales for the gamx problems you shared with me - feels great to resolve them actually and to Lucie for being such a nice seatmate... and to you both for confusing me when you start speaking strange)... for all the others i haven't named... cheers!

Special thanks goes to:

Colleen - for being so supportive and for always believing...

Maribel - for being more than a senior manager...more than a counsellor... more than a friend... for making my stay in EY sydney feels like home..

Mike - for appreciating little efforts...

Yvonne - for opening RCIP's doors (i.e. for being such a nice interviewer) and for being my very supportive first senior manager

Yolaine - for the trust and the support you unselfishly provide, i can't ask for more...

(wuw, now this makes me feel like im doing a farewell speech, am i??? - what duh?!)

and of course...

to all sydney noypis - you guys are great!!! see you all on the 24th! special mention goes to mamu jazel (for being so calm), to ruby and lito (for the adventures), bevs (for great friday dinners), lance and k (bar pals), and renee/andrei (for the drinks!)...

and lastly,

to my fi-ve dock-a family (dith, ruby anna and rondz)... you guys are just so amazing! you definitely deserve more than a thank you...

ruby anna, i guess we're meant to be friends... we just know how to manage each other too well! i reckon sydney life would have been different without you... mwah!

rondzki, how can a day be perfect without your how are you?! hahaha... guess the angels won over the demons in moulding our friendship... i know, i know, im sometimes a bitch (haha esp when you are too childish), but thanks for bearing with my craziness...

dith, im probably not too expressive of how thankful i am for having you as a friend and often im so sungit (well, you are used to it anyway), you know that deep down in my heart, you definitely do hell have a spot!

1 year with EY Sydney...

1 year down under!!! amazing how time flies really so quickly, i can't believe i've been here in sydney for a year now... we arrived on the 5th of nov last year! a day after, we started at EY, wuw!!! nov 6 - 1 year in EY Sydney... feels so great! feels so oz!...

I don't want to be too dramatic but this day makes me think about my sydney flee...

My appreciation of the Opera House started it all. I can't remember where i first saw a picture of the opera house... all i can remember was, at that time, i told myself, im soon going to sydney, don't know when exactly, but i know, i will. Then i met this Oz sox instructor in one of the trainings in SGV - i was so inspired at how good he is (at least, that's my impression) that my nerves wanted to work with oz's... then i soon learned about their workstyle and work life balance - sounds amazing? maybe not too much at first for a ff staff like me (i repeat, at first)... but we'll see..

I perfectly remember, it was the month of July, which was the peak month of the audit of my favorite client (yes, PAL is my favorite client - don't care how the hell will that be interpreted cos not also too sure what the hell that means), when silly thoughts began rushing to my brain... On the same month, more than a couple of head hunters keep stalking me!!! (makes me popular, yack!!!)...

Then, one silly night, click!, yep, i did it, submitted my resume to EY Sydney!!! Next thing, i found myself talking to Dith telling her about this opportunity blah blah blah and her own story started...

The process began... which reminds me of wonderful/funny/silly stories. EY Sydney HR called me for an interview, oopps, i was actually in PAL (yes, mid morning and at the peak of the audit!!!), it was so funny, at first, i acted as if the reception was really bad and cut her off (so bad ghie!). So she called again, but i still havent found a good spot, what?! I ended up being interviewed in the waiting area close to the lift - 2 big bosses in PAL plus one of my boss even passed right infront of me, o my!!! Next interview was set so i called for a sick leave - what? its been half an hour and still the phone is perfectly at rest... fine, i dialled it and another blooper, so crazy ghie, its tomorrow, not today!!! crap crap crap!!!! Now, the actual interview... this is it... it went fine but admittedly, i asked for pardon so many times for the first few minutes... well, expect me to perfectly understand yvonne's perfect aussie accent??? - it was more than a challenge, really!!! understanding her is far harder than explaining IAS 21 and IAS 12 to her!!!! (oh, that was then, cos now, easy! haha)... Other bloopers include receiving a phone call while in the car of my boss in the petrol station, rejecting a call while in the middle of meetings... the list goes on...aarrggghhh!!!... I definitely have more... but enough of the shame...

Oh, this could also be a perfect time to thank those who were part of the conspiracy... to batman and wonderwoman who kindly and unselfishly unveiled a reference that sydney can't and won't resist (that's obviously an overstatement) - you know why am i here and i can't thank you enough... love you both... to catwoman, my promise is still a promise - i may not be very good at it at the moment but i'm keeping it... i'll make up... i'll try

The offer letter came, visa processed, flight booked... Sydney here i come!!!

And yes, i am enjoying my stay... of course, i have my own silly baffled moments... but i reckon, the bottomline is... i am happy, and thank god i am sydney...

Of course, behind all these... thanks to my family... love you all...

aussie mobility...

thank god, i'm in sydney...

* * *

one thing i really admire about ozs is their appreciation of mobility... genuinely share your happiness... no one will question whatever you want to do with your own life (besides, its your life)... only you can decide what can make you happy - it may not be the best thing in the eyes of other people but who in the hell cares... your heart knows better than anyone else, i guess... besides, who are you trying to please?... are they worth it? don't think so...

you are responsible only to one Being... that's the only thing that's important...

* * *

thanks to my buddy... it was a very short chat but a really very 'can't thank you enough' one... from the bottom of my heart, you are hell one i won't forget... ever...

not the best day for batman, but nevertheless, thank you too...

baffled...

"time has been cruel to me lately
playing tricks with me again..."

* * *

Its been almost a month now and i don't understand myself why in the first place am i entertaining baffling thoughts such as this silly i-d thats been fooling around in my head - its totally ridiculous but it has found a peaceful nook in my mind and its perfectly enjoying its stay! Looks like no plans of checking out soon...

Or, maybe, its really not that totally senseless afterall? Am i in denial that it is worth thinking of?!

Confusing? It definitely is! And, its so disturbing!

Someone talk to me please!!!! Getting crazy over this... aaarrrggghhh!!!!

Batman - where the hell are you????

* * *

what a bungling sunday!!! been here in the sofa literally all day... as in super tamad...

aaarrrggghhh!!!!

horoscope...

"If you've reached your boiling point with an annoying person, tell them so today..."

that's my horoscope for today - probably not totally true for today, but that's what it is and i'll keep that in mind...

i reckon its not very nice but it could help that person, and myself as well...

again, it may be worth keeping in mind...
